About Word to PDF

Word to PDF converts a DOCX file into a PDF, typesetting its text, headings, lists, tables and images onto the page size, margins and type size you choose.

A DOCX file is read here in the tab — its text, headings, lists, tables and pictures — and typeset onto the page you choose. Nothing is sent to a conversion service, which is the whole reason this tool exists in a browser rather than as an upload form.

The page setup is yours: size, orientation, margins, text size and whether the body is set in a sans or a serif face. Left at As in the document, the file’s own page size is kept.

What a reader in a browser cannot do is guarantee a page-for-page match with Word on a machine that has the document’s fonts installed. Line breaks may fall differently where a font is substituted. For a contract where the pagination itself matters, print to PDF from the application that wrote it.
