About Resize image
Resize image makes a picture an exact size — a square post, a story, a link preview, or any width and height you type — by filling the size and cropping what does not fit, or fitting the whole picture inside it.
The sizes are named after where they are used, at the size those places show them. Fill and crop covers the whole size and cuts what is left over equally off both sides, or off the top and bottom; nothing is stretched. Fit inside keeps the whole picture and fills the space it leaves with white, black, or a blurred copy of the picture itself, which is how a wide photo usually sits in a tall story.
Unlike Optimize image, this sets both sides and will make a picture larger as well as smaller. Making it larger adds no detail — a small picture stretched to 1920 px is soft. Upscale image is better at that, within limits.
