Make waves

Layered waves of color, like a desktop wallpaper, at the size you need. Nothing to upload — it is drawn here in the tab.

How it works
  1. Press Start. Nothing goes in — what you make is drawn from the settings alone.
  2. Set it in the settings column and watch the preview change as you go.
  3. “Make waves” draws it full size on your device and hands it to you as a download.

About Wave maker

Wave maker draws layers of color with soft wavy edges, one over another like hills or folded silk, the look of a desktop wallpaper — at the size of a desktop, a phone, a post or any width and height you type.

Each color is one layer, first at the top, in the order they run along the bar; drag a dot to reorder them, click the bar to add one, up to eight. Wave height sets how far each edge swings, Curves how many swells cross the picture, and Tilt turns the whole set so the layers run downhill. Variation reshapes every edge, and the same number always gives the same waves.

Depth lays a soft shadow along the top of each layer, onto the one above it, which is what makes them read as folds rather than flat stripes. Blur melts the edges into each other for a dreamier look, a vignette darkens the corners, and grain adds a fine texture.
