About Rotate PDF
Rotate PDF turns the pages you pick by a quarter or a half turn and writes the new rotation into the document, so every reader and printer opens it the right way up.
A page scanned sideways is not a picture problem; it is one number in the page’s own dictionary, and every reader obeys it. Rotate sets that number, so the fix is exact and costs nothing in quality — no pixels are touched and the file does not grow.
Turns are added to whatever rotation a page already carries, which is why a page that is already ninety degrees out ends up upright after one more quarter turn rather than in a third position. Pick the pages on the grid, or type page numbers; with nothing picked, every page turns.
