Changelog

Every release of PocketDocs, newest first.

1.1.0

Documents in and out: read a PDF back into a spreadsheet or a Word file, and turn what you already have into a PDF.

  • NewPDF and image to Excel: tables are found by the borders the document drew around them, with the highlights carried across and a table that runs over several pages read as one.
  • NewPDF and image to Word: a rebuilt document rather than a picture of one - paragraphs, headings, indents, spacing, alignment and tables, at the page size the PDF had.
  • NewMarkdown, text, HTML, CSV and EPUB to PDF, set on your choice of ten paper sizes with a live preview of the pages themselves.
  • NewMake searchable: text in a scan is recognised on your device, and any tool that needs it offers to do so first.
  • NewCompress a queue of PDFs in one go, measured and saved together.
  • NewA dark theme, and a layout that works down to a phone.
  • ChangedPage previews are drawn at the resolution of the screen showing them, which is a visible difference on text.

0.1.0

The first release: every tool runs on your device, with no account and no uploads.

  • NewCompress, with the size of each level measured on your own file rather than estimated.
  • NewMerge, with pages from every file on one board and drag-and-drop across them.
  • NewSplit by ranges, by every N pages, by selection, or one file per page.
  • NewOrganize: reorder, rotate, delete and extract pages on a visual board.
  • NewRotate, delete and extract pages as tools in their own right.
  • NewPDF to JPG and PNG, and images to PDF.
  • NewWatermark and page numbers, both with a live preview.
  • NewCrop and redact, with the redaction re-rendering the page so nothing survives underneath.
  • NewProtect and unlock with a password, and flatten form fields.
  • NewSign: draw, type or upload a signature and place it anywhere on the page.
  • NewImage tools: convert between JPG, PNG and WebP, and optimize an image down.
  • NewWorks offline once loaded, and installs as an app.
